Fantasy
This is the full 16 minute Director's Cut, remastered to new scored music by Dustin Hollywood who also wrote and directed the story of a dancer and the darkness all around her, the fight to find herself, and to beat the darkness with the power of music and light. TZIGANE is a live music, living film experience directed by Dustin Hollywood. Built as an interactive, AI-driven cinematic performance, the film listens to the orchestra in real time, adapting image, editing, and narrative paths to the expressive dynamics of the music so each screening becomes a unique, unrepeatable version of the same work. The story unfolds as a dreamlike, poetic dance. A barely perceptible silhouette of light and dust appears, the spirit of Jelly d’Arányi, for whom Ravel’s Tzigane was written. From the luminous dust, a second violinist emerges and the duet becomes a kinetic ritual of folding and unfolding space. As the music shifts, a dancer materializes as the protagonist and the world resolves into a village celebration, then fractures into disorientation, an unseen helping force, and an omen that warps the environment. The antagonist arrives as a magnetic, almost animal force, provoking a taunt that detonates into a relentless chase. The finale splits into two possible outcomes: a visionary release where the protagonist breaks through, or a darker ending where the antagonist overtakes and the world collapses into silence. World premiere: 82nd Venice International Film Festival at Teatro Malibran, presented in front of 600 festival audiences brought to their feet in ovation, with press, and industry professionals. This is only the beginning..
